A Weekend to Remember with Finneytown Theatre Alumni
This past weekend, Finneytown Theatre alumni came together for a reunion filled with great conversations, familiar faces, and plenty of memories. It was a chance to reconnect, celebrate our shared history, and see how theatre at Finneytown continues to thrive.
🎭 Kicking Things Off
We started the weekend the right way—with Skyline Chili, of course. Over plates of coneys and 3-ways, alumni caught up on life, shared old stories, and got ready for a trip down memory lane.
🎭 Walking Through the Past
One of the highlights was a tour of the PAC, giving everyone a chance to step back into the places where it all started.
🎭 Honoring the Legacy
One of the most special moments of the weekend was welcoming back past theatre directors who helped shape generations of performers and crew members. Bill Swartzel, Burt McCollom, and Shawn Maus all returned to celebrate the legacy of Finneytown Theatre. Their impact on our program was evident in the stories shared and the deep appreciation expressed by alumni.
🎭 A Night at the Theatre
After a great dinner at HighGrain Brewing, we all gathered to watch this year’s spring production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Seeing the next generation of Finneytown performers on stage was a full-circle moment for many of us.
🎭 Wrapping It Up
The night ended with an after-show party, where alumni celebrated the legacy of Finneytown Theatre.

We’re excited to be working with the current theatre directors to redo the Green Room and preserve the history of Finneytown Theatre. This space has been a home for so many of us—where we ran lines, shared pre-show rituals, and built lifelong friendships.
