Welcoming Brandon Robinson as Finneytown's New Head Boy’s Basketball Coach, Pending Board Approval

We are thrilled to announce that Brandon Robinson, a member of the Finneytown Class of 2009, is stepping into the role of head boy’s basketball coach for our Finneytown Wildcats!

From Standout Player to Respected Coach

Brandon’s journey from a standout point guard to a seasoned coach is a story of dedication, passion, and perseverance. As a student-athlete, Brandon left a mark on Finneytown’s basketball program. During his senior year, he earned a place on the first team CHL, thanks to his impressive averages of 15.5 points and 3.2 assists per game.

After graduating, Brandon continued to foster his love for basketball through coaching. He has spent several years honing his coaching skills at North College Hill and with the Shining Stars AAU Team. His commitment to developing young talent and his deep understanding of the game have made him a respected figure in the basketball community.

A Homecoming to Inspire

Now, Brandon brings his wealth of experience and his heartfelt connection to Finneytown back to where it all began. His return as head coach is not just a professional milestone but a homecoming that promises to inspire and uplift our current and future Wildcats.

Finneytown names Brandon Robinson as boys hoops coach, pending board approval

Brandon Robinson is poised to infuse new energy into the Finneytown High School boys basketball program. The 2009 Finneytown graduate was named the school’s new boys basketball coach, pending board of education approval.

“I’m excited,” Robinson said. “I think there is a lot of potential. For me to be offered the position it was a definitely a blessing.”

Robinson has a wealth of experience, having been the junior varsity head coach and varsity assistant coach for six seasons at North College Hill. He has also coached in Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) competition for Shining Star since 2021 and for Cincinnati Phenom AAU from 2016-2020. Additionally, he coaches the Shining Star Smith League, which includes current college and pro players from around Greater Cincinnati. His extensive experience also includes conducting local basketball camps and clinics throughout the Cincinnati area.

“I’m excited to have a Finneytown alum back to lead the program,” Finneytown Athletic Director Gerald Warmack said. “Brandon’s passion and excitement for Finneytown and the basketball program are infectious and I look forward to seeing where he can take Wildcat basketball!”

Brandon played four years at Finneytown, leading the Cincinnati Hills League in scoring in 2009 and earning all-city and state honorable mention honors. He is committed to developing a system similar to a college program, aimed at improving all levels of the basketball program.

Robinson expressed his honor at being in this position and looks forward to getting started with the Finneytown program.
